Sex and the City 2 is Filming in New York

It’s been Drama and the City ever since Carrie Bradshaw and her Louboutin heels hit the streets of the upper East Side to begin filming “Sex and the City 2″ on Tuesday.

Hordes of fans began bombarding the set as early as 7 a.m. on the first day of shooting, and it seems that the return of the fashionable foursome – and their hunky male co-stars – has caused a little too much excitement. Film security has had to tighten its game when dealing with the crazed Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda wanna-bes.

“They looked more like they were protecting the President than Sarah Jessica Parker,” said an onlooker at 84th St. and Park Ave., where the leggy leading lady was repeatedly being filmed hailing a cab. “At one point, teenage girls were practically trampling each other trying to get to Sarah Jessica as she was walking back to her trailer, but her security team was shoving everyone out of the way.”

Movie Review: Last Chance Harvey

Movie Review: Last Chance Harvey

Harvey Shine, played by Dustin Hoffman, travels to London for the weekend for his daughter’s wedding. Leaving the plane in London, he briefly encounters Kate Walker, played by Emma Thompson, whose job is to collect statistics at Heathrow Airport, and rudely refuses to fill out her questionnaire. Harvey’s job in New York  as a commercial  jingle writer for a Manhattan agency is his escape from his personal life. His boss is less impressed with Harvey’s latest work , and would rather see Harvey make room for younger composers. Harvey’s personal life is almost non-exsistent. After he divorced his wife, she happily remarries. His daughter Susan has a close relationship with her new stepfather, and informs Harvey at the pre-wedding dinner that she would rather prefer her stepfather to walk her down the aisle.

In the meantime, Kate, hopeless to meet the right guy, is on a blind date, set up by one of her friends and co-workers. Harvey can’t wait to get back to New York for a very important meeting, and decides to only attempt the ceremony and skip the reception. Yet, nothing goes according to his plan. His second encounter with Kate Walker is about to change his life.

I definitely recommend to watch this movie. Yes, it is a romantic comedy. Yes, the end is happy. Yet, there was something about this movie that made you want to believe and not to give up hope. If you start crying easily in emotional situations, make sure you have enough tissues.

Obsessed

Obsessed

Do you remember the masterpiece ‘Fatal Attraction’ starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close? He, a married man, had a short affair with long term consequences. His one weekend lover becomes obsessed with the idea of a love relationship, and turns into a dangerous stalker that stops at nothing to have the aforementioned man all for herself.

Now, the movie ‘Obsessed’, starring Beyonce Knowles, Idris Elba and Ali Lartar, has a somewhat similar plot. Yet, the married man here avoids having an affair with a woman who temporarily works at his office. Her obsession is based on a pure fantasy that grows in her mind as the movie progresses. Movie Review: Ripple Effect.

Movie review: If you liked th movie Crash you will probably like this one as well.

Plot: Fashion designer Amer Atrash, perpetually on the verge of success, is undergoing a personal crisis in both his marriage and his business. Attributing his misfortune to bad karma from a wrongdoing committed fifteen years prior, he sets out to correct his mistake, and in doing so, experiences a spiritual awakening. (from imbd.com)

Ripple Effect: The Ripple Effect is a term used by the Humanity Healing Foundation[1] in their articles on Spiritual Activism to refer to how positive thoughts and actions expand outward to effect other’s lives, who in turn will add to the “ripple” with their own positive thoughts and actions.
